Clinical Supervison

Purpose of Clinical Supervision for LSWs: once a master level social worker becomes licensed in their state the clock starts ticking. They need 3000 hours of individual and group supervised work in order to apply to take their clinical exam. With 10 years of social work experience (5 being an LCSW) they are eligible to be a clinical supervisor to others.

My role as a clinical supervisor:

  • Supervision will include discussion of practice issues and ethics as well as areas of competence and areas needing improvement.

  • Provide a safe space that encourages collaboration with professionals in other disciplines as indicated by the needs of each client and shall encourage the supervise to access multidisciplinary consultation, as necessary.

I can facilitate group supervision if I had a group of 3 or more supervise (The rate would be lower than individual supervision of course). I will maintain notes/record of supervisory hours and complete state mandated forms needed for license exam application.
